Hand Carved in Kenya from Mesquite wood. I could not decide on my favorite design in the tiny serving spoons (3") so I ordered them all. Perfect for condiments, salt cellars and more. The plates are appetizer size, approx 6" in diam. The spreaders are available in 5", 8", or 12" and perfect to keep stoveside or use as a serving piece to add interest to your tablescape. Each piece is unique.

From the creators:

QUALITY.

We believe that performance, durability & craftsmanship matter.

Mesquite wood is twice as hard as teak and lasts even longer, making it an excellent choice for daily use in the kitchen.

Each hand carved tool is a work of functional art that you can put to practical use!

SUSTAINABILITY.

Prosopis juliflora (mesquite, mathenge) is an invasive species that is devastating the local flora & fauna in rural areas of Kenya.

Each sale helps us work with Seedballs Kenya to replant indigenous trees and grasses in the most impacted communities.

By working with local woodcarvers to utilize this material in favor of native hardwoods, we help redirect & preserve the skills and knowledge passed down from generation to generation.

Our spreaders are thoughtfully designed in order to serve multiple purposes throughout the kitchen. From stirring & sauteing to spooning and serving, you’ll fall in love with these simple creations.

MATERIALS: Prosopis Juliflora (Mesquite, Mathenge)

METHOD: Hand-carved using traditional adzes, knives and rasps.

CARE: Wash in mild soap and water.
